Richard Hudnut - Violet Sec set

I love this set - it's just beautiful.  This is one of the first things I ever bought on eBay and I was very pleased with it.   The box is also purple and in excellent condition, the pieces still have a delightful scent.

Colgate Cashmere Bouquet mini

Probably once sealed with a cork this is a tiny sample size of Cashmere Bouquet. 6cm high, 2.5cm wide and only 1 cm deep.

Watkins Bouquet

I can vaguely remember my mother buying Watkins products in the 1950s, in particular furniture polish.   I think the products were sold door to door or by a local "agent".   They had a range of perfumes and this one like the others I have seen has a very attractive label.

Herman Tappan Sweet Bye and Bye Bouquet

I'm sure there is an old hymn or gospel song called in the Sweet Bye and Bye also.   This bottle has an interesting metal top/stopper and the back is very heavily moulded and almost cut away as you can see on the extreme left of the left hand picture.   The picture of the young couple of the label is really quaint.

Lydia Pinkham handbag flask

Not strictly a commercial perfume as Lydia Pinkham didn't produce perfumes but I thought it fits best in this category. It has a screw cap and a long dauber.  This little flask would have been a give-away item promoting her herbal remedies.   There are quite a few little items such as a tatting shuttle, little sewing kit etc in this range.   Lydia Pinkham's story makes very interesting reading and I have a link to her on my links page.

I purchased this bottle on the internet
