Breidenbach Rose De L'empire

This was THE most difficult bottle to photograph.   It's not quite as sqaut as it looks, in fact it's really quite an elegant little bottle.  I bought this at a farm clearing sale in a combined lot with a modern man's wristwatch and a little limoge plate! AU$20 the lot - I thought that was a good buy.  The gold label has oxodised but reads quite clearly Rose De L'empire  Breidenbach London.   On the base of the bottle is a small label - "The strength of odour in this perfume is so great that the smallest quantity only should be used at a time".

11cm  or 4.25inches tall.

Crown Lavender Water

This Crown Lavender Water bottle is by the english firm of that name although it is marked on the label London and Paris.   This bottle is around  18cm tall - a little shorter than most bottles of this type, it has quite a good flat foot but it would be too top heavy to stand up.  Nice label and neck label as well as the original crown branded sprinkler top.

Girard et Cie Ltd Violette De Parme

This is a tiny bottle at only 7cm high and 2cm wide.   It has 2 lovely gold foil labels featuring art nouveau maidens.  The bottle also features a long dauber, the yellow you can see underneath the label is the label at the back - the bottle is empty.  While this sounds a French company it was actually based at 182 Regent Street London.

A Breidenbach Lavender Water in the common long green bottle with sprinkler top   There are a number of different Breidenback lavender waters in similar bottles just slight variations in the length, shape and label.

Yardley April Violets

These Yardley floral scents have such pretty labels to their bottles.   I like this one very much and it still has it's box.
