California Poppy Bakelite holder ???
I "think" this is a California Poppy perfume bottle case although it doesn't say California poppy anywhere. It is lined with a yellow coloured satin/taffeta type of fabric and there is a slight perfume stain. It hinges open and the base is green. The centre green seed pod in the centre of this picture is actually paper. If anyone knows the type of bottle that went in here or can confirm if it is a california poppy item I would appreciate it.
Thankyou to the fellow collector who advised me that - yes - this is a California Poppy perfume bottle case. Just got to find the correct bottle now.
Yardley Solidified Brilliantine

I'm not exactly sure who used brilliantine, men or women or both but that colour green is a fairly good representation of the colour of the product and I'm fairly sure that it hasn't gone "off". The jar has a brass lid with a paper label of the lavender seller in the centre.
Potter and Moore Powder-Cream

A small container for Potter and Moore's Powder-Cream which was probably what I would call cream make-up or foundation. The lid is bakelite and deeply moulded and the bottom of the container is clear glass. You can see the colour Rachel on the lower section of the lid. 5.5cm in diameter.
Cashmere Bouquet Massage Cream

Another in my collection of Cashmere Bouquet items, actually I didn't realise I had so many. This little milk glass jar has a tin lid and the familiar green coloured label.
F Wolff and Sohn Palmitine Soap

This was probably a gift set for a little girl. The box still contains the soaps which are partly covered with paper lace. The cover shows a little girl holding a rose and what appears to be a puppy. I would date this to the 1920s and it's only tiny at 4cm x 8cm. Very cute.
