Oxford Lavender bottles come in a range of colours and there is something appealing about their simple shape and pretty enamelled decoration. Some people call them tear bottles and believe they were to hold the tears shed when one was bereaved. I think catching my tears in a bottle would be the last thing I would be thinking about at such a very sad time! I think they are just little bottles for a small amount of scent or perfume.
