Yardley - Bond Street

This scent was first introduced in 1917 but these two exampes date from the late 1930s.   I love the bright, red, white, blue and gold boxes which may have been designed to coincide with the coronation of King George VI in May 1937.   They seem very celebratory.   Each box has a smal brass plaque to the top.
